Maisie

I'm a student at Strathclyde University studying a MSc in Environmental Engineering. I've recently graduated from Dundee University with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and Geography. I aim to inspire interest and curiosity about our natural world, while supporting students towards exam success. I'm still in education myself so can relate well to different learning styles through a student-centred approach.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience working as a classroom assistant in both primary and secondary environments. I really enjoyed enabling young people to overcome their learning challenges. I am also a qualified sailing instructor with experience coaching all levels and ages. This has given me extensive experience planning and delivering sessions in a fun and supportive way, helping students gain qualifications.

Tutoring Approach

I support students in breaking down the subject to identify gaps in their knowledge, then building up their understanding of these areas together. This enables us to work through questions and project work practicing the ways of thinking to be successful in exams and to boost coursework grades.
