My name is Maks, originally from Brussels, but moved to the UK to work towards an integrated Masters of Chemistry with Computational Chemistry, which I completed with a First (with Honours), in June of 2021.
In September of 2021, I joined UCL to start a PhD in Chemistry, with a strong computational aspect.
I am focused and motivated and would love to help others in their goals, whether it be improving their grades, or learning more about a subject they enjoy.
I have previously tutored in high school, as part of the European Baccalaureate system. I had helped students younger than me, as well as my peers, to achieve better grades in both Maths and Chemistry.
I have also undertaken tutoring at UCL, where I have been leading a group of 15 students through a set of exercises at the undergraduate level.
I am patient when teaching and make an effort to find different ways to explain concepts, to ensure that you understand the basics. From there, I think practice is most important, which would involve both leading you through how to complete a set of exercises as well as letting you solve them independently, after which we would go through them.
