Mandy's classes are always engaging, well paced and really helpful!

Mandy is a very good tutor. I have found that she has an excellent understanding of the Edexcel A Level syllabus and that she dedicates a lot of time and effort to setting and marking homework tasks. She will motivate you to achieve the best that you are capable of as a student and will provide you with the knowledge and support you require along the way. Her lessons also have a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Mandy is great. Before I started with her I was finding it hard to make myself speak any German at all, I was simply too embarrassed at how slow I was. But Mandy finds a really good balance between moving forward with grammar and vocabulary and making sure that actually, what is important is to make yourself be understood. She is brilliant at no fuss helping-along when I struggle, and the end of each lesson, I am always amazed at the range of things we were able to talk about, and how much I said, and how much I learned! She’s given me the confidence to speak when I want to, and my German family and friends have really noticed the difference!

Mandy has been a great German teacher for me in the last 2 years. She has been flexible to meet face to face or online and at different times, also after I moved out of the UK.
She adapted to my needs for grammar explanations, listening to interedting podcasts, as well as conversation onfe I was ready for it.
Would recommend Mandy as a German teacher/tutor to anybody around Cambridge (or elsewhere online) who needs to learn German, from scratch or from a higher level!

Mandy has been tutoring my 8 year old son in German and she has been really excellent. My son is always happy to attend her sessions, which seem to be fun and educational. I fully recommend Mandy.

Mandy was very organised, very open and friendly for my daughter's first lesson. We had a very helpful trial run for 5 mins to make sure the online tuition was set up and working. Mandy is an enthusiastic, conscientious and knowledgeable teacher with a direct approach and a wide range of resources. I have learned a lot from her and feel that I have made good progress from week to week under her encouragement. I always look forward to her lessons.

Mandy teaches our three native speaking german kids (aged 9, 10 and 12). She is very approachable and reliable, establishes a good personal and working relationship with the kids first before she sets off teaching. Mandy is creative in making the lessons fun and entertaining as well as challenging according to each age group. She gives a decent amount of homework each week and encourages the kids when they've done something well.
We have been very pleased with Mandy's teaching so far and hope we'll have a long lasting working relationship ;-).

Mandy is a brilliant teacher. My boys aged 9 and 11 always look forward to their lessons with her. She uses a variety of teaching methods which really grab the chikdren’s attention. My children have made so much progress after only a few lessons. Mandy is very organised and professional. I warmly recommend Mandy as a German teacher.

Our two children (7 and 9) have been learning German with Mandy for three months. Neither could speak any German when they started, and we're very impressed with what we see in terms of the progress they've made. We're also very impressed with Mandy's teaching. There is plenty of homework but it is usually made fun (practical questions and answers; online quizzes) and the children absolutely love their lessons. I'm particularly impressed with the way Mandy knows how to get the best out of both of them, especially as the two children have such different learning styles. We would definitely highly recommend her to anyone looking for a German tutor for their children.

Mandy has been amazing with our two kids. Ages 5 & 7, we just moved to the UK from Germany, where we had lived for 3 years. Our main goal was to keep them immersed in their German language (kinder-Deutsche!) and start further instructions in letters, grammar, etc. We had a hard time finding a tutor that was willing to work with kids so young… but, thankfully, we found Mandy! She has been absolutely amazing with them. Tailoring her sessions to their needs, especially now that they are in school full-time and a bit tired. But… they are excited to see her and LOVE her lessons. Thank you so much, Mandy!!! It is important to us that we keep their skills up and progress more into the German language. We don't want them to lose what they had learnt while living in Germany so your sessions are so important to us. We really couldn't do this without you (mein Deutsche ist Schlecht! lol) and we are so grateful that we found you on First Tutors. :)

Mandy has proved to be a friendly, enthusiastic and approachable teacher who has delivered lots of fun and engaging lessons. She has high expectations and pushes me but at the end of each lesson I realise how much we have covered. Although I am quite shy and self- conscious about speaking German, Mandy is good at putting me at ease. She sets a lot of homework but I guess this is for my benefit and in the long run all the hard work will pay off. She is therefore an excellent teacher and does her job well.

I have found the lessons to be excellent, Mandy is a very good teacher, enthusiastic and makes the lessons very dynamic and interesting, and personally relevant. I like the emphasis on learning to speak and keeping the flow of conversation without too much focus on exact details of case/gender etc as that can be done in parallel and later ! Homework has been appropriate and set at the right level. I really look forward to the lessons and feel I have made a lot of progress under Mandy's tuition.
