Qualified tutor, PhD trained research scientist, research mentor, specialist tutor in biology/chemistry and economics up to A-level.
I hold a PhD in Dementia research, an MSc in clinical neuroscience and a BSc in neuroscience. I have extensive experience in scientific research, with posts held at King’s College London, University College London and most recently at the University of Sheffield. During this time, I have not only mentored and taught BSc and MSc students but have also tutored students from KS3 onwards for over 8 years who have achieved their desired grades in all the subjects that I am offering to teach.
I am a very patient, passionate tutor and will be able to tailor lessons according to each student's needs and abilities. I can guarantee improved results in Science (Biology and Chemistry) and Economics for examinations ranging from KS3 to A levels. I will aid students on how best to prepare for exams, exam techniques, proof-read and provide dissertation/essay help and can simplify complicated concepts into understandable information. Following this I will encourage students to tackle problems they find difficult in order to build up their confidence and assess what areas of strength or weakness require development.
In short, I am a very reliable, flexible and motivating tutor who takes real pride in making a difference to the lives of aspiring students and to help them achieve their full potential. I am organised, hard-working and really passionate about teaching – especially science!
