I am a qualified and experienced Italian secondary school teacher (Italian language and literature, Humanities), awarded QTS in England, where I have been living since 2014.
I have never considered myself to be just “a teacher”, teaching has always come naturally to me. My students always appreciated my total commitment to their success, how competent I was, how coherent I was in expecting and reciprocating a respectful behaviour.

Tutoring Experience

Tutoring has been my very first job when I was still a secondary school student. Since then I have taught history at university, been a business consultant and trainer (Communication and Marketing) and taught in several secondary schools as a permanent teacher for 15 years in Italy. I got back to tutoring in UK, about ten years ago, when they started asking me to teach my native language, and a new experience began...

Tutoring Approach

As a teacher my aim has always been to make my students feel understood and supported in their needs and experience. I ensure that our learning environment is safe and perceived as an enjoyable working field in which we all are appreciated and rewarded for our work. Furthermore, the attention I naturally dedicate to my students is received as a form of love, an essential ingredient, in my opinion, for any kind of learning to be possible. In the last few years I have also finally found and tested a reliable, accurate and up-to-date course book (Italian language), which is a precious guide to our work, although very often I still produce tailored material to meet my students' interests or challenges. At the moment I am only tutoring online on Skype or FaceTime.
