I live in Southampton and I am experienced at tutoring online and in person. I am a University of College London graduate, having completed my PGCE there and getting my qualified teaching status to become a primary teacher. I have also attended the University of Bath where I got my bachelor degree in Education with Psychology.
I grew up in Spain with a French mother and an English father so have an appreciation for languages.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine as I enjoy seeing my student's improvement and confidence grow.

Tutoring Experience

I have 3 years of experience as a teacher and 9 years of tutoring experience. I have taught English, Spanish and French to a number of International students over a matter of years and have helped students achieve high grades in Cambridge English and DELF examinations. I have also had experience helping primary children for their external exams (7+, 8+). With primary children, I have worked in all subjects, as well as helped them in their
organizational skills and worked towards their independence in completing work.
I have had much experience tutoring 1:1 and in small groups, of learners of different ages and abilities and I am able to adapt well to attend to my student's needs.

Tutoring Approach

Once a student or parent has made contact, I will usually organize a first meeting which allows the student to get to know me and ask any questions. This first meeting is also where I get to know the student, their level, where they want to get to and how much time we have to achieve this. I like to tailor my tutoring sessions to suit individual competencies, enabling suitably paced academic progression.
I am very friendly and like to make my students feel comfortable as I believe it is important to build a relationship of trust with my students. I also like to keep parents updated by providing progress reports.
