Online Chemistry and Biology Tuition

Having graduated from Cambridge, I have taught Biology for 31 years at two leading independent schools (The King’s School, Canterbury and St Peter’s School, York). I have taught many different specifications for GCSE Biology, GCSE Dual Award Science and A level Biology and have worked with pupils of all ability levels, from Foundation Tier GCSE to Oxbridge / Medical preparation. I have been a Head of Department, Senior Leader, Examiner (Edexcel) and School Inspector (ISI). The range of these roles has given me a wide perspective of the challenges of education and a good understanding of the way in which pupils can be best understood, supported and stretched. More recently, I have been tutoring online, helping individuals prepare for admissions assessments as well external examinations. Spending the last ten years In the role of Housemaster at St Peter’s, I have had pastoral responsibility for over 70 pupils (aged 13-18) per year, helping them enjoy and achieve at school while guiding the oldest of them through the UCAS process.
