I have worked within the education sector for the past 19 years - the last 15 have been as a qualified teacher.
I am a father to an amazing 18 month old and have made a change in roles to ensure I can afford him the quality time he deserves.
I enjoy reading and watching films, as well as going and exploring new places.
I have been a qualified teacher for the past 15 years but have worked in a variety of roles through this time. This has included: as an Assistant Headteacher, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Class Teacher and Teaching Assistant. I have also worked within the Local Authority SEND team as an advisor, supporting other schools with strategies and assessments to support their learners.
I am patient and try to find ways to engage the individual student. This could be through using motivational characters from their favourite shows or just through repetition which supports them to develop their confidence.
