Matt's Feedback

Our 'tutor' experience with Matt has been exemplary. Matt was engaged by me to support my son with mathematics tuition in preparation for my son's GCSEs. Matt is organised, communicative and regularly so. I receive pragmatic and constructive feedback on a session by session basis. I think it is really important that feedback is clear and realistic as this is essential for my son's awareness of what and how much he needs to do in order to achieve his goal. Having recently completed his last mock exam, my son is finally enthused about revising, understanding that incremental work does pay off.

Matt has been a great physics A level tutor for my son. He has helped my son understand some of the more difficult aspects of physics. We only have a few weeks left before exams and we are using Matt again to try and push for an A for medicine.
Matt has been very flexible with us and will restart sessions after a break. He is an excellent tutor.

I was tutored by Matt from september to November and within those short few months I learned a lot of helpful information for my maths exam. I went from a 3 to a 4+. Matt is a lovely tutor to go to as he's very kind and understanding. He explained the topics i didnt understand very well in great detail then gave me example questions to make sure i fully understood the topic. He also taught me the most efficient way to work out a question, which saved me a lot of time during my exam. Matt and I worked through lots of past papers from many different years to cover all of the topics needed for the exam.
Overall, i would definitely recommend Matt as your tutor to work with.

I can't praise Matt highly enough. My son was tutored by Matt in maths and later physics, and achieved astonishing progress under his tuition. My son had always struggled with maths, rarely achieving more than a C grade, and was not expected to go into the sixth form let alone study A-level maths. But Matt came along and single-handedly rescued him from the second-to-bottom set; gave him confidence; filled in the gaps at GCSE where the school hadn't covered all the syllabus; and then helped him not just to cope but to excel at A-levels in both maths and physics. He finally got 'A's in maths and physics A-levels, and is planning to study architecture!

Matt has been a really excellent tutor for my daughter, supporting her in her GCSE Maths and Further Maths. She was losing interest in her studies, finding the Further Maths too challenging and wanting to give it up.
Thanks to Matt's enthusiastic, professional and individualised tuition, she is now hoping to study Maths at A level.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Matt - he is reliable, willing to be flexible and an all-round excellent tutor.

Matt has been and is still tutoring our son in the lead up to his GCSE exams since Jan 22. He is highly recommended, in fact we have already recommended Matt to a friend who is now helping her daughter. Matt starting tutoring my daughter for A Level Further Maths earlier this year. He has been an excellent find with very engaging one-to-one sessions that provided my daughter with huge confidence in completing Further Maths. She was quite anxious about this course prior to her final exams however the sessions with Matt involved 2-way dialogue, working solutions together such that by the time she had to do her A level exams she was confident that the exam would not be a minefield. I can not recommend Matt highly enough and his approach is calm, patient and very engaging. Ultimately she not only was taught very well but also was inspired by him which I was not expecting when we considered a tutor.

Matt is our friendly,accommodating, and hardworking Maths and Physics tutor. His contribution to our home schooling is great and we welcome him as blessing.

Matt has made a huge difference to my daughter both practically and confidence -wise! She came top of her class in her mocks and is consequently really motivated. Matt is always punctual and is a really great teacher. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Matt has been a massive help to my son who will be sitting his Physics A Level exam this summer. Matt's approach is blend teaching of the syllabus itself alongside improvements into my son's exam technique. One of the issues that my son has is that he doesn't fully express his knowledge as it can be difficult to translate what is in his head into the answer that the exam paper is looking for, and Matt is excellent at explaining exactly how to go about answering particular styles of questions.

Matt is currently helping our daughter prepare for her Maths GCSE, and they met for an hour every two weeks. He has an easy going, approachable style, which is ideal to encourage her to push herself out of her comfort zone. He adapts his tutoring style to fit the level of need she has for a particular topic. Matt is always prompt, and they work solidly for the full hour. Our daughter also speaks positively of the tutoring experience. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

Matt has been tutoring my daughter for just a few weeks but already she is noticing the difference. Matt is exceedingly friendly and encouraging. He is prompt with lessons and encourages our daughter in her work and builds up her confidence. Matt requests that she e mail him any problem areas by the end of the week so that he can cover them in the forthcoming Saturday.
