I am a Meng Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Bristol. I took my GCSEs and A Levels recently enough to be familiar with all recent changes to the syllabi and have experience both learning and teaching remotely during the pandemic.
During sixth form I volunteered to help year 10 maths pupils with their GCSEs on a twice weekly basis. At university I am involved in the Engineers Without Borders outreach programme, engaging with primary school children to foster an interest in STEM.
I am prepared to conventionally teach the whole of the pupil's syllabus, however I encourage pupils to actively make suggestions and recommendations about where they are struggling and how they would prefer to learn as I believe that there is little value in teaching a raw specification which despite a pupil's misgivings is probably fairly well understood and can be overcome by concentrating on a pupil's key misconceptions
