I am a University of Cambridge graduate in Biological Natural Sciences and am a current medical student.

I achieved an A* in both GCSE and A-Level Chemistry and Biology, and then went on to achieve a First Class in Biological Natural Sciences at Cambridge. As a current medical student, my studies focus on the human body and its pathologies. I love sciences, and I hope that I can share my enthusiasm for these subjects with my tutees! My goal is to share the strategies and insights I gained during my studies at school and beyond to help my tutees achieve similar success.

Tutoring Experience

I have accumulated over 250 hours of tutoring experience in Biology and Chemistry for GCSE and A-Level students, and I continue to build on this experience. My experience has allowed to refine my tutoring approach and develop the communication skills which are essential to teaching difficult topics.

Tutoring Approach

My tutor sessions are tailored to the tutee - I make sure that I have a good understanding of what they would like to work on, their strengths and weaknesses, and the level that they are working at.

A good portion of tutor sessions focus on teaching content and ensuring that it is understood. This is achieved with the help of diagrams and frequent questions, getting the tutee to really think about the content and improving recall. The rest of the session is dedicated to approaching past exam questions relevant to the topic being learnt. In this part of the session, I focus on developing exam technique and applying content knowledge to exam questions - both of which are essential to doing well in an exam scenario.

Overall, my approach is individualised, holistic and thorough, focusing on the important aspects of succeeding in exams and ensuring a good understanding of the subject.
