I’m passionate about sharing French language and culture, and I love watching my students gain confidence and grow to appreciate the language—even those who initially didn’t enjoy French. Seeing learners transform their abilities and develop a genuine interest is incredibly rewarding.

I believe positive reinforcement is essential, and my goal is to help students feel proud of their progress every step of the way. Past students and parents often describe me as patient, encouraging, and approachable—qualities I think are vital when learning a new language.

I’m here to support you not only in learning French but in building the confidence and tools you need to succeed. Whether you want to enjoy speaking French, pass exams without anxiety, or use the language in real life, I aim to make every lesson motivating and enjoyable.

Tutoring Experience

I teach students of all ages and levels, from school learners preparing for GCSE or A-Level, to adults learning French for work, travel, or personal enrichment. I hold a degree in French and have lived in France for over three years. Alongside French tutoring, I’ve worked as an English as a Foreign Language teacher for two years, which has strengthened my understanding of how languages are learnt and taught. I’m highly familiar with GCSE and A-Level exams and have helped students progress significantly, including raising grades from borderline Foundation to 8/9 at Higher Tier. I’ve also supported adults in gaining confidence to use French in everyday life and relocating to francophone countries.

Tutoring Approach

Lessons are 60 minutes and fully tailored to your level, goals, and learning style. I focus on practical, real-life communication, helping you use French naturally instead of just memorising phrases. I explain grammar and vocabulary clearly and use memory techniques developed through my own learning experience and over 5 years of tutoring, to help concepts stick.

I create a supportive, encouraging environment where mistakes are part of learning. Lessons cover speaking, listening, reading, and writing with a mix of structured practice and fun activities. Whether preparing for exams, improving conversation, or starting fresh, I adapt each lesson to your pace and goals to keep you motivated and progressing.
