I have a Political Science degree from the University of Birmingham as well as a Masters Degree in Law. Prior to this, I studied for the Government and Politics A Level and achieved an A grade after studying at King Edward VI Five Ways school.
I am passionate about this subject and keenly follow developments both on a domestic and foreign level.
As I have recently completed the course, I understand the demands of the new A-levels and aim to work closely with my students to enable them to gain the top grades.
The key to achieving this is a combination of solid content knowledge and well developed essay writing skills.
Having tutored this subject over the last three years, I have significant experience to help my students and achieve the top grades, I have a good understanding of the key demands of this new A-Level syllabus and am able to use this to my student’s full advantage. Separately, I also have considerable political experience working with a number of different organisations and have mentored in different subjects, helping others to progress.
My students will be tutored in both content knowledge and exam technique as these skills are essential to ensure that they have the correct exam technique and so are able to reach their potential in this engaging and fast-moving subject. To this aim, I strongly focus on the use of mark schemes and examiner's reports.
I am able to tailor lessons to address areas of the course which my pupils are struggling with.
Such individual attention will greatly benefit them come exam time.
