Michael has really helped me with the religious studies, a subject that I found quite difficult. After a few months of revising with him, he has really helped me with understanding the subject and what different philosophers say, even with the topics I find difficult, which helped raise my grade to a high B during my mocks. He is a great tutor, really funny too! I highly recommend him :).

Michael has been tutoring my year 11 son for a few months in RS, as this was a subject my son struggled with. Michael is an excellent tutor; he sends on the revision material (well prepared material) in advance of each lesson and is always professional and punctual. My son enjoyed the lessons, and as his knowledge of the topics covered deepened, he become much more confident. I would highly recommend Michael, and if we need a tutor again for RS or Sociology then I will be back in contact with Michael again.

Highly recommended

Michael was exactly what I was looking for in terms of a tutor to help my son get the best result could in his GCSE English. His level of knowledge and ability to relate pop-culture references into texts that can seem stale today but that were the pop-culture of their day made the course really accessible for my son. He engaged for the first time with regards to English and within a couple of weeks was actively engaging in lively dialogues.

I wish I had decided to get a tutor long ago, Michael has been transformative.

Michael is an excellent tutor, especially if you need last minute essay marking or tuition. My experience with Michael is that I have noted which is a rare on this platform is that he is not trying to make money out of his students, but actually invested in their education. He was very quick send feedback on essays and he does it all for an excellent price. My daughter only had a short time with Michael due to family illness. The tuition she did have was very productive. My daughter said Michael was an enthusiastic and charismatic teacher and very personable. It’s a shame we didn’t have more time with him.

Michael helped Francesca, 2nd year A level student during the 8 months
leading up to A levels to build her confidence and deepen her understanding
of the RE subject. Francesca felt she needed more help than school could
offer her to achieve her goal of at least grade B at A level. Time will

My 17 year old son had Michael only for one initial lesson. It is just that the match was not for my son, and you can only make that judgement after an initial lesson. Michael's power point presentation was very good and relevant to my son's learning. He is extremely polite and flexible, and also very quick to respond. My son is currently under a lot of stress with mocks and last year of A levels, and he just needs to find the right tutor that he feels comfortable with.

Michael has been helping my son with his GCSE English for the last 6 months. During this time I have found Michael to be extremely punctual and organised. Before every lesson he sends reading material for my son to complete and homework is also set. Michael provides feedback for work completed to try and help my son to improve. I would recommend Michael as a tutor.

As a mature student balancing full-time work with studying A levels, I was looking for a tutor with a fairly relaxed approach, who would allow me to choose which topics to focus on and in particular, help me to improve my exam technique as it had been some years since I last sat exams. I have to confess that although I did of course read through Michael's profile, I ultimately chose him because his profile picture showed him holding a cup of tea. "That's my kind of tutor.", I thought.

Michael turned out to be exactly what I needed. I found him to be extremely pleasant, supportive and helpful. He provided me with revision materials before each lesson and also assessed my work to provide a grade prediction for my university application (without which my application would have been rejected). Michael gave excellent constructive feedback on my essays and I was able to improve my technique considerably thanks to his expert guidance. I feel I should also mention Michael's talent for explaining concepts using Harry Potter and Star Wars!

Having now finished the exams, I can certainly say I feel much more confident about them than I would have done without Michael's help.

Michael has been tutoring my son for AS Level RE. My sons confidence had been eroded when he got a bad result for his mock exam in January. This is when Michael came on board. very helpful and friendly tutor

Michael gives my son Skype tutoring, which son was rather dubious about to beign with, however it is working well. He is studying for A levels and has dyslexia, I wanted a tutor that could vary their teaching method to accommodate a dyslexic learner and he has done that.

Michael clarifies at the start of each session what will be covered, ensures that is what my son requires and at the end that he has understood the session.

Michael has been an incredibly reliable tutor, the lessons were very well planned and clearly thought out. It was very helpful that he was willing to cater to individual learning styles and willing to respond to feedback.I think that he would be most helpful for those doing GCSEs and A Levels. Overall, a positive experience, he put in maximum effort to the tutoring sessions.
