Hello, My name is Michellina. I am a qualified Psychology Teacher & Examiner.

I completed my Bsc Psychology degree at City University London and completed my PGCE Psychology at UCL Institute of Education.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified teacher with extensive teaching experience both online and within classrooms. I have taught AQA GCSE & A-Level Psychology to the exam. My students have a high success rate of achieving at least 1-2 grades higher than their predicted grades.

Across primary, secondary & colleges I have had experience teaching SEN students, LGBTQIA+ students & retake students. This is something we will discuss in our free introduction meeting in order to ensure I am meeting the needs of the individual student.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching is tailored to the individual student and their goals, whether that be longer essay questions and structure or simply understanding the content. Meticulous lesson planning and organisation of schemes of work and resources are paramount in my teaching. I have high expectations of all students and see my key strength in being able to impart confidence in them and their abilities.

For Psychology, I am able to tutor you in all GCSE & A-Level content. My focus lies on longer essay questions, AO3 content and Research Methods as I find these are the most common barriers to students achieving their full potential. The most successful students are comfortable with the understanding and execution of exam questions and this is therefore what I like to base my lessons on.

As an Examiner, I read many exam answers and I am able to distinguish between what different answers look like depending on their grade. This means I am able to guide my students as to how best answer questions to achieve the best grade. This will be done by us looking at mark schemes in depth to ensure the student is aware of how to answer different types of questions and to look at mark schemes from an examiners perspective.
