I have just graduated from UCL with a BSc in Applied Medical Sciences and plan to undertake graduate medicine in 2025. I took the IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum in high school. My higher level subjects were Biology, Chemistry and Geography, and standard level subjects were French B, Math and English A Literature. My mother tongue is English, however, I speak both Japanese and French at an intermediate level.
I am currently a Maths, Biology and Chemistry tutor on MyTutor and GoStudent for A-Level and GCSE students. I have helped prepare kids for the 7+ and 11+ exams as well, as well as helping GCSE and A-level students with exam technique etc. In the past, I was also a tutor for Kumon, Maths and English for students aged 3-12.
I prefer to ask the students how they learn best, regardless of whether it is through flashcards, questions etc, and then make sure to adapt to each student's approach. Ensuring that they have the right study methods for themselves as well as addressing any gaps in their knowledge.
