Hello! I'm Mike. I have a PhD from the University of Bristol, where I researched theoretical physics, and a masters degree from the University of Sheffield where I studied physics. I am here to help you improve your understanding and grades in maths and physics as a private tutor.

Tutoring Experience

I have three years of private tutoring experience, totalling over 200 hours with more than 15 students. I have also taught at a university level and have been hired by a Sixth Form College to tutor one of their students. My tutoring experience spans both online and in-person formats.

Tutoring Approach

In my PhD, I use advanced mathematical concepts daily, which helps me explain topics to my tutor clients with clarity and depth. My goal is to help you not only do well in exams but also understand the wider context and deeper meaning behind the material. This approach makes revision more effective and engaging. However, I will also focus on exam technique to make sure you get every mark possible for your final exams.
