Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile. I tutor in the following subject areas: Math, Economics, Finance, and English as a foreign language. Further, I have also coached students for entrance exams, namely GRE, SAT, PSAT, and ACT.

As an introduction, I am a Chemical Engineering graduate out of University of California at Berkeley and hold my Post Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence from University of Texas at Austin. Over the last 10 years, I have held roles in various industries including Insurance, Finance, Data Science, and Engineering. Further, as I've moved around the world quite a bit, I have also had the opportunity to tutor students in various geographies and with various academic backgrounds.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for the last 10 years, since my college days. Below are the professional institutions I've been affiliated with, aside from private tutoring: Aid India, Youth for Seva, UC Berkeley Chemical Engineering. Further, on a volunteer basis, I have also developed educational content (workbooks, assignments, quizzes, etc) for K-8 for economically disadvantaged students in India.

I have also been a mentor affiliated with the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholars for students who are in their first few years of their undergraduate degree.

Tutoring Approach

Over the years, I have always tried to help my students understand the "why" over the "what" when learning a new subject, topic, or concept. I find it very important to explain the fundamentals of a concept and impart knowledge in a way that my student can teach his peer effectively.

When it comes to exams, I always aim for my students to get the highest mark possible. One of the key elements to success in an exam is time-management along with the ability to handle the pressure. I always strive to help my students from this angle in addition to teaching them the curriculum.

Further, I enjoy not just online teaching but also meeting my students (if possible). I always like to foster a new relationship and love to work at a mentorship capacity at some point too.
