Hi! My name is Nadia. I’m a Medical Student at Oxford University, with a BSc in Medical Sciences and Engineering from UCL and a Master’s in Health and International Development from LSE.
Over the past five years, I’ve worked with students across a range of ages and educational backgrounds, helping them gain confidence in their studies and reach their academic goals.
I understand how challenging subjects like Biology can be, especially when preparing for competitive university courses like medicine. My goal is to make learning approachable and engaging, while giving you the tools you need to succeed both in exams and beyond.
Our lessons will be comprehensive, ranging from covering core content, breaking down difficult concepts, practising exam techniques and creating study timetables. I will also help you to develop study techniques that will support you across all your subjects.
I also provide support with personal statements, UCAT, interviews, and medical school admissions. With first-hand experience in the medical school application process, and having worked with undergraduate and postgraduate students to secure admission to top UK universities, I understand the challenges of applying for higher education, particularly in the field of medicine.
I am also a fluent Spanish speaker and have experience teaching Spanish at GCSE level. Whether you're looking to improve your grammar, expand your vocabulary, or refine your speaking skills, I can help you build confidence and master the language in a structured and enjoyable way.
With over 5 years of experience tutoring students of a variety of ages - from primary school to sixth form students – I have developed a flexible teaching style that is tailored to each student’s individual needs.
I have also created my own A-Level Biology course, designed to simplify difficult concepts and address common areas where many students struggle. This course has helped several aspiring medical students secure top grades, including A*s in Biology.
Having helped students gain admission to some of the UK’s most competitive universities, I understand how overwhelming the process can be. I therefore aim to make the application process clearer and more manageable—providing structured, supportive guidance every step of the way.
Biology:
My teaching style is flexible and tailored to your specific goals. Lessons can range from one-off sessions focused on specific topics to regular sessions that incorporate study techniques and exam practice.
In our first lesson, we will discuss the areas where you feel you would like more support and create a personalised study plan based on your goals and current level.
Each session after that will focus on:
- Reviewing key content
- Working through practice questions
- Marking and discussing answers together
We will also work on building effective study habits and revision strategies to help you build your confidence and study independently outside of our sessions.
University Admissions:
I also provide tailored 1-to-1 support throughout the university application process, including:
Whether you're early in your application journey or in the final stages, I’ll help you approach it with confidence and clarity.
