Hi! I'm Nancy, a qualified primary teacher living in Edinburgh. I did my degree in French and Spanish, have lived in both France and Spain and am fluent in both languages. I love teaching and have a friendly, patient approach. I look forward to meeting you and seeing what we can learn together!
I have a PGDE in Primary Education from the University of Edinburgh and have taught in various primary schools. Previous to gaining my teaching qualification I worked in primary schools across London as a teaching assistant, including in specialist (ASN) settings and as a primary French teacher. I have been tutoring for over ten years and have prepared students (adults and children) for formal exams such as the IELTS, GCSE and A Levels. I have a strong interest in inclusive education and am passionate about continuing my development in ASN and inclusive pedagogy.
I am friendly and patient and focus on building strong relationships with learners to enable them to build confidence in their learning journey. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs, often using playful and active approaches to increase engagement and make learning enjoyable.
