Narayan Jesse

I am an English tutor who is currently doing their PGDE English Secondary at the University of Edinburgh. English is one of my main passions and I work to project that passion onto my students.

Tutoring Experience

I have a wide range of experience
- 1 year as a teaching assistant at a mainstream girls secondary school
- 1 year working as a teaching assistant at a number of SEN schools
- 4 months as a teaching assistant at a primary school
- 3 months as a English language councillor in Germany
- 1 year as an online tutor (GCSE, A-LEVEL, 11+, National 5, Highers)
- currently doing my PGDE (teacher training)

Tutoring Approach

I like to use a range of approaches from direct, inquiry and experiential approaches. I like to start off my lessons going through the main points, asking the student what they need help on and what they remember from our last lesson. After this, I like to go through a worksheet, exam paper, or text and then summarise at the end of the lesson.
