Hello! I'm Nasima, and I’m passionate about unlocking the full potential of every child I teach. With a strong background in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, I currently teach Year 6 and specialise in preparing pupils for the KS2 SATs in Maths and English. My approach goes beyond just ‘teaching the curriculum’ — I’m driven by a deep commitment to each child's success and personal growth. I stay on top of the latest research and teaching practices to ensure that every lesson is engaging, purposeful, and tailored to meet the unique needs of my pupils. Whether it's building confidence in tricky subjects or refining their exam technique, I help children thrive with a sense of achievement and pride in their learning.
With over five years of teaching experience in primary schools across London, I’ve gained invaluable insight into the diverse needs and learning styles of children. I’ve taught across the full primary spectrum, from Year 1 to Year 6, which has given me a broad and deep understanding of the curriculum and how to effectively support children at every stage of their development. My role as a Writing Lead allowed me to refine my expertise in fostering excellent writing skills, and I’ve had great success helping pupils improve their writing and comprehension in preparation for assessments. I also have a rich understanding of the Year 6 SATs — not just the content, but the exam strategy, structure, and how to ensure pupils feel calm and prepared on the big day.
I believe in teaching that’s not just structured and results-driven, but personalised and inspiring. Every child is an individual, and I take time to understand their unique strengths, challenges, and learning preferences. This enables me to adapt my lessons to ensure every pupil not only understands the material but is excited to learn. I’m deeply committed to building self-confidence, which I see as a key to success in both academics and life. I break down complex assessment objectives into bite-sized, digestible pieces, so pupils can master each concept before moving on to the next.
What sets me apart is my practical, real-world approach — I give children the tools and strategies they need, not just for exams but for life. From model answers to exam techniques, I make sure pupils have the skills to apply their knowledge effectively. With me, students don’t just learn; they become empowered to take ownership of their own success.
