I was born in the north of England, but I have lived in Spain for over 25 years. I have a Spanish husband, three children and one new grandchild. I began teaching and translating over thirty years ago.
Since completing my degree I have worked in several different educational settings; universities, schools and language schools.
I have tutored children and adults 1:1 and in small groups for specific requirements such as G.C.S.E., ´A´ Level exams or for DELE - the Spanish Diploma certifying confidence and mastery in the Spanish language. I have taught both adults and secondary school students who want to improve their conversation, grammar skills and fluency.
I have also translated and voice recorded educational materials in Spanish for Northumberland County Council.
My lessons are online via Zoom. I only teach students 1:1 as I feel that gives the best results. I like to listen to the needs of each learner and help them focus on areas for improvement, giving lots of opportunity to practise in different ways.
I believe it is important to break up the learning into small steps so that goals are achievable. I am very passionate about teaching such a wonderful language!
