Teaching Assistant
Teaching Primary - since 2018
Within the classroom, I actively encourage collaboration, active learning, and the expression of
ideas from all pupils. I firmly believe that giving pupils control over their learning fosters
confidence and empowers them to reach their full potential. I advocate for an environment where
pupils are encouraged to ask questions freely. I believe that fostering curiosity leads to a deeper
understanding of subjects and that first-hand experiences in stimulating environments are crucial
for effective learning. My passion lies in making a positive difference in the lives of pupils and
young people. I am committed to keeping them safe, creating an environment where they can
thrive, and providing the support they need to reach their full potential. I believe in instilling
confidence in pupils by providing opportunities for them to actively participate, collaborate, and
take ownership of their learning journey. This approach not only enhances their academic growth
but also nurtures a belief in their own capabilities. My teaching philosophy revolves around
creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can flourish. I am
dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of pupils, fostering a sense of safety, confidence,
and a belief in their ability to achieve great things.
My lesson planning is rooted in a child-centered approach, aiming to create learning opportunities
that cater to various learning styles. I understand the importance of tailoring lessons to
accommodate the diverse needs of students, including those with English as an Additional
Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). For pupils with EAL and
SEND, I integrate visual elements into lessons to enhance understanding. This inclusive approach
ensures that all students can actively engage with the material, fostering a supportive and
accessible learning environment. Recognising the unique strengths and abilities of each student, I
differentiate lessons to allow higher-ability pupils the autonomy to explore topics in greater depth.
This ensures that every student, regardless of their abilities, is challenged and encouraged to
reach their full potential.
