Hello! My name is Neelam, and I am a GCSE maths tutor. Being a student myself, I understand the stress of revising for and sitting exams. I have tried and tested many learning techniques myself, and understands that everyone requires a different learning approach. I will work closely with my student's strengths to ensure they get the best learning experience that they can.
My name is Neelam, and I am currently about to start my third year in Mechanical/Nuclear engineering at university. I have been online tutoring for two years, with students aged 6-16 years old. I mostly work with secondary school students, helping them revise for their GCSE exams.
My qualifications:
- achieved 11 x grade 9s at GCSE, including maths and further maths
-4 x A*s at A level ( maths, physics , chemistry ,EPQ)
-achieving a first class result in my most recent university exams
I like to make my lessons as interactive as possible. Normally we would begin by covering and understanding the basic principles of the topic, followed by me demonstrating how to answer some questions, then I give the student an opportunity to practice what they've learnt. I like to integrate lots of exam questions and practice into lessons so that my student is confident when they walk into the exam hall.
Typical lessons last an hour, and depending on the students goals, I would recommend 1-3 lessons per week. Online lessons utilise both a video call and an online whiteboard element. Lessons are normally online, may negotiate in person lessons depending on location.
