I am an ambitious and enthusiastic Durham University graduate, having achieved a First Class in Natural Sciences. I specialise in Biology, Biochemistry and Geography. I have worked at AkzoNobel as an environmental data scientist, with Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science. I am now undertaking a Master's degree at Cambridge University in Climatology.

I tutor A level, GCSE and secondary level Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
I am determined to help you to achieve or exceed your target grades. I am quite flexible in terms of when I am able to tutor.
I know the importance of sticking to the syllabus and tailoring lessons to fulfil the specific requirements of students, in order to ensure you are fully prepared for exams and can avoid the stress that often accompanies GCSEs and A Levels.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored for four years in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. I achieved a First Class in my degree in Natural Sciences at Durham University, specialising in Biology, Biochemistry and Geography.
I achieved straight A* grades at A Level in Geography, Biology and Chemistry. I also achieved an A* in a Geography and Science - based EPQ. At GCSE I received 9 A* grades and 1 A grade.
I have enjoyed tutoring younger students and aiding their progress towards achieving higher grades, including via online lessons.

Tutoring Approach

I will tailor the lessons to meet the requirements of the student. My lessons are productive, and often focus on structuring answers and exam technique. I will discuss techniques to ensure the points on the mark scheme are met and the ways in which to achieve top marks. I can also teach the content of the syllabus if that is what's required.
I can also give advice on how to ensure high grades for the EPQ and how to write the perfect academic personal statement.
