I am an experienced tutor specializing in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Spanish, with a strong academic and professional background. I hold Master’s degrees in both Chemical Physics and Energy Storage Engineering and have worked as a Data Scientist, where I applied advanced mathematical and scientific principles in a practical setting. I achieved A*A*A at A-level in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, and earned 8 A*s at GCSE.

Additionally, after living in Spain for three years, I am fully fluent in Spanish, allowing me to offer bilingual tutoring if needed.

Tutoring Experience

During my undergraduate degree I participated in a 'Students in Schools' program wherein I gave weekly tutoring sessions to groups of students in A level Chemistry for a year. I got great feedback from the link teacher and enjoyed the experience.

I have tutoring sessions to a student in A level Maths in 2019, who went on to achieve a grade A and is studying Medicine.

I have worked as graduate teaching assistant at the University of Sheffield, helping to deliver Physics problems classes for first year students, and teaching laboratory sessions in thermodynamics.

I am a qualified yoga instructor (200 hours) and have given classes across Colombia and Spain.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is personalized and focused on addressing each student's specific areas of difficulty. I believe in fostering a deep understanding of the subject matter rather than relying solely on rote memorization for exams, though I always keep the syllabus and exam requirements in mind.

During sessions, I emphasize mastering the fundamentals before guiding students through practical examples to solidify their understanding. My enthusiasm for the subjects I teach is something I strive to pass on to my students, making learning both engaging and effective. Additionally, I'm always happy to share my experiences in higher education.
