I am a dedicated and passionate educator. I hold a PhD in Accounting and a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy with over two decades of transformational teaching experience in Higher Education Institutions.

I am a confident and enthusiastic professional who loves teaching others and take pride to successfully deliver and plan sessions in which are tailored to improve the student's weaknesses and making them into strengths.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 20 years tutoring experience of working with students from different levels. My experience with diverse students has enhanced my pedagogical practices over time.

I design, develop and deliver excellent learning and teaching across a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have taught financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, and related fields.

In addition, I have extensive experience in providing written feedback on courseworks, essays and dissertations.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach focuses on student engagement. As well as explaining concepts and introducing new materials, as a tutor I try to encourage dialogues that are led by students. When I hear them asking relevant questions, or articulating theories in their own words, I know that they have understood the material. My teaching style is formed by my positive experiences during my own years as a student. My aim is to increase my students' confidence and help them achieve excellent results.

To make learning fun and engaging, I use interactive tools like Kahoot, Poll Everywhere to monitor students' learning.
