This year, 90% of students my GCSE students achieved a grade 8 or above in their Mathematics GCSE examinations, with 50% achieving a grade 9.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is dynamic, engaging, and positive, and I adapt my approach to meet the needs of each individual student. I specialise in teaching students who lack confidence or find themselves easily distracted, particularly those who find themselves poorly suited to mainstream education.

I believe that establishing mutually respectful relationships with students and their families is crucial if students are to achieve their full potential.

The tuition I offer follows this structure:

1. Direct Instruction
   Illustrating complex mathematical concepts using step-by step, visual, real-world examples.

2. Guided Practice
   Strengthening students’ understanding of key concepts by supporting them in efficiently engaging with mathematical problem-solving.

3. Independent Practice
   Providing resources for students to practice and consolidate skills independently between sessions, using this to give feedback and optimise future learning.
