Parisa

Hi! I'm Parisa, a passionate English tutor looking to help with English tutoring from Reception age, right up to A Level years. I have achieved an A* in English Language at A Level, a Grade 9 in both Literature and Language at GCSE, and a 2:1 degree from the University of Bristol in Politics and International Relations. Throughout my years of study, I have cultivated a myriad of English skills to be effectively utilised across all subjects, but have consistently maintained my love for teaching English. I am looking to help students enjoy the subject and look forward to sessions, while realising their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

During my college studies, I joined a tutoring company to teach English and Maths to students aged 4-16. Here, I encountered a variety of students and learned how to effectively adapt lessons to individual needs. I also established parental relationships by delivering and gaining feedback at the end of each weekly session. From this and moving forward to my years at university, I began to teach freelance in both subjects, specifically English, up to GCSE and A-Level.

Tutoring Approach

In my teaching approach, I prioritise the personalisation of sessions to encourage engagement and motivation for all my students. I understand that everyone is meeting the subject from a different level, and will therefore come to sessions with various requirements for how they best learn. To do this, I highlight the importance of feedback from both students and parents if necessary, to ensure that there is a safe and welcome space to work collaboratively and ensure that my students are understanding and achieving the best they can out of all sessions.
