Qualified English teacher with 10 years experience in private tutoring.
I am a native English-speaker with a passion for teaching my mother tongue. At Oxford University, I discovered that a one-to-one approach is by far the best way to learn a language.
I graduated from Oxford with a Double First in 2011, and, since then, have been working as a lawyer, writer and teacher.
In 2013 I took the Cambridge University Certificate in teaching English as a foreign language in order to develop my teaching skills.
I also help with preparation for Oxbridge interviews.
Private tutor in Jordan, France, Malta, Lebanon and UK
Leader at 'English Club' at the European Court of Human Rights, Strasbourg
Tutor with NGO 'Jacari' while at Oxford University
English and Geography teacher at a secondary school in Guyana
I always focus on the individual goals of the client.
Classes are structured and dynamic. They may be based on relevant films, texts, or particular scenarios.
I aim to be encouraging throughout. Language learning is challenging but it should also be fun and rewarding.
I am very happy to provide homework for a client. Self-study makes a huge difference in progress made.
