Tutoring Experience

I graduated with a first class in Philosophy and have PGCE in Religious Studies with QTS. I have been teaching GCSE and A-Level abroad and in public schools in the UK for 21 years. I’m also a seasoned examiner with the major exam boards.

Tutoring Approach

I deliver hourly GCSE and A-Level lessons virtually. My approach is normally personalised to student’s weaknesses, eg., are they struggling with structuring essay paragraphs? do they need help with developing more criticality in their written analysis? Or perhaps they require useful tips regarding how to scaffold and retain ideas. Students who come to me are assured of full triage as a first step to enable me draw up a bespoke plan to support them in completing the content of their courses and comprehensively prepare for their exams. There will be opportunities to go over past exam papers and support with essay planning and time management. I’m a seasoned examiner with the major exam boards and my experience of marking criteria and moderation is of great value to my tutees.
