My name is Pawan and I have a Mathematics and Economics degree from the University of Warwick. I am currently employed as an actuary at a consulting firm where I work and study for professional exams. I know exactly what it is like to study and not understand something, so I can relate to my students' problems and provide an empathetic approach to aid learning.
I am really excited to share my love of maths with students and particularly those who may find maths difficult.
I have always helped my friends with exams and used to work in a tutoring centre whilst I was at school. Helping my younger brother through his GCSEs has introduced me to the common mistakes pupils can make and I will apply this knowledge to my tuition sessions.
I am happy to tutor GCSE maths (higher and foundation).
My lessons will be online due to the current pandemic giving me an opportunity to make them more interactive and engaging. I improve students' confidence in maths by spending some time solidifying what they already understand but I spend most of the time focusing on topics which may come less naturally to the student. I encourage the student to ask questions and talk me through their thought process enabling me to identify any gaps in their knowledge.
I offer a free initial telephone consultation and discounted initial lesson. I am available on the weekend for tutoring, please enquire for more information. I can also offer discounts based on your financial situation.
