When not working I enjoy reading, gardening, walking, and keeping fit: I go to the gym and swim regularly and am a member of Torridge Gig Rowing Club. I am a Pets As Therapy volunteer and take my dog into both the North Devon District Hospital and two local Primary Schools.

Prior to teaching I worked in sales, advertising and marketing before starting a family in 1992. During 1993 and 1995 I worked part-time as a TA at Easthampstead Park School before being sponsored by the school to undertake teacher training.

I am patient, organised and calm. During my career I have worked with students with a variety of needs and I enjoy the challenge of reaching those who are disaffected.
