My name is Philomena and I am a teacher of English, trained specifically to teach in the Scottish education system. I have a Masters in English and Creative Writing as well as an A-Level (equivalent of Higher and Advanced Higher combined) in English Literature.

I focus on pupils being actively involved in their learning which includes having a say in how they go about their learning (preference for activities and where they recognise they are strong vs needing more support) as well as ensuring a good understanding of their progress and next steps for improvement.
I also have experience helping pupils with learning differences as well as support needs and plan lessons to make sure that they have supports in place to achieve their goals, both lesson-by-lesson and long term achievements.
