As a passionate and dedicated science enthusiast, I aim to inspire curiosity and a deep understanding of scientific concepts in my students. I am a third year undergraduate student at Durham University currently reading Biology and Chemistry (Natural Sciences) and have experience both studying and applying scientific principles in real-world scenarios.

I am a very patient and responsive person. This makes me an excellent tutor as I am able to tailor each pupils lessons to their own unique learning style and focus on their individual knowledge gaps so they can achieve their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

Recently I have helped two A Level Chemistry students move up two grade boundaries to achieve their respective universities entry requirements, including an A*. Alongside an A Level Biology student who also achieved an A* grade.
Previously I have tutored younger pupils throughout secondary school as Science Prefect, whilst setting up a lunch time Chemistry club in which we demonstrated and taught a variety of different experiments.
I loved tutoring when I was in secondary school and it has inspired me to continue throughout my undergraduate degree.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into relatable and understandable concepts, ensuring students not only excel academically but also develop a genuine interest in science. I tailor my teaching methods to fit each student’s unique learning style, fostering a positive and encouraging environment where they feel confident to ask questions and grow. I believe that with the right guidance, every student can grasp the wonders of science and unlock their full potential.
