I have taught students at all levels from KS2 to KS5, both within a group and one-on-one. I have taught many students one-on-one over the last few years and have successfully improved their mathematics grades.
GCSEs & A-Levels

I am an experienced tutor and qualified teacher. I have taught mathematics at all levels of secondary school. As a teacher, I am able to identify misunderstandings and misconceptions in a student's understanding, and am able to adapt a lesson in real time.
My years of experience how taught me that often a student’s lack of understanding in a topic often stems from smalls misunderstandings in the fundamental mathematical skills required for more advanced topics. I’m very quick at identifying this and correcting the misunderstanding to ensure the students core maths skills are always solid.
I have read papers and completed research on the best practises to teach areas of mathematics which student's commonly struggle (e.g. probability, vectors, trigonometry).
I have a very good understanding of mathematical concepts and am able to explain these concepts, with examples, in various ways until the student is confident. I understand that students have different preferences as to what helps them learn and due to this I dedicate time to prepare lessons and tailor them specifically to each person.
Students I have taught in the past have said they enjoy my lessons, appreciate the help I provide them and have said their grades have improved because of my tutoring. I enjoy teaching mathematics and this comes across during my lessons. I am friendly, positive, patient and always welcome questions.
