Hi I'm Ray and I am going into my second year studying medicine at Cambridge University. I would like to offer my services for teaching Biology, Chemistry, Maths and medical school entry (UCAT, interviews, personal statement and more).

Tutoring Experience

I have previous experience tutoring IB Biology and Chemistry for over a year formally, and also informal teaching of people in my school in younger years.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is personal to each student. If core knowledge is not completely understood, I will work from there using a variety of resources and techniques, like diagrams, YouTube videos, using analogies and making notes. From this point, I try and ensure retention of topics that the student already understands, through active techniques like asking the student to present a topic, explain a topic or doing quizzes. Finally, past paper questions and exam style practice is also important. The approach taken and speed and depth that I cover teaching material is dependent on the student, so I can ensure that the student gets the most out of the lesson.
