I have taught Maths at Secondary schools since 2002.
Prior to this, I worked as a project planner in the construction industry.
I enjoy reading, collecting vinyl, watching films, playing golf and supporting Portsmouth FC.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Maths at Secondary schools since 2002, including functional skills, GCSE foundation and higher, and A level.
I have been an examiner with Edexcel for GCSE, A level and International A level for 15 years.

Tutoring Approach

I always start with an informal chat to establish the needs and targets of my prospective students. This gives an opportunity for us to set out a framework moving forward.
I prefer teaching face to face, but have extensive experience of online lessons, particularly during and after the COVID pandemic.
I prioritise topics that my students identify for themselves, before extending their knowledge and understanding.
