Hello, Im Rebekah! A music teacher offering lessons for violin , ABRSM theory, aural training, and GCSE/A-level tuition to Godalming and surrounding areas.

I offer violin lessons to players grade 3-8+. All lessons are tailored to the student and how they want to develop their playing.

I love teaching aural and theory, and have seen many pupils successfully through grade 5 theory - ABRSM.

I also do adhoc tution offering help with GCSE/A-level music, especially focusing on analysis, essay writing, and composition.

Tutoring Experience

I have completed all practical grades in violin, piano, voice and theory. I completed my masters in performance and composition in 2021, and have been tutoring since I started my undergraduate degree back in 2011.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in building an all-round musician, and my main goal in teaching is to nurture a student who will eventually not need my guidance or help anymore but be completely self-sufficient in reading and musicality to learn and perform a piece on their own. Because of this I place strong emphasis on note reading, contextualising music, and learning the theory behind the piece of music.
