Reuben

Hi, I'm a student at Warwick University studying classics, I will be going into second year this year and looking to tutor on weekday evenings and achieved grade A in A level Latin and ancient Greek. I also did French and can tutor in that up to GCSE level. I will be available in term time (feel free to message to find out about availability)
I have valid DBS that has been used for youth work at church that is valid.

Tutoring Experience

I don't have any teaching experience formally, but I have my brother with his Latin homework many times over the years, and have sat with younger students at my old school over lunchtimes and helped them in their studies at the weekly classics club.

Tutoring Approach

I prefer to help people with language and grammatical work rather than literature, but can adjust to the needs of the student. In doing this, I am able to help with study skills to improve independent learning. I like to address specific problems and focus on being able to commit things to memory, a method that has really helped me in my education so far. I find that once I can either recite or recall a specific grammatical structure or piece of vocab, I can work out large portions of translation.
