I am 52 years old. I studied Biology at University then did a PhD in Biochemistry. I taught HND and BSc Biological sciences at the university of West of England for 3 years and then was a lecturer at the University of Glasgow for 4 years. I then taught English in Japan for 5 years before teaching GCSE sciences and ESL at Abbey College and Zenith College in the Midlands for 10 years. In the last 5 years I have been teaching Levels 3 to 7 Business Studies at the University of Worcester, University of Aston and at Global Banking School. I can tutor in A level Biology, GCSE Sciences, GCSE Maths, GCSE Business Studies. I can also help with basic English grammar and academic writing. I teach online through Teams. I may be able to do face to face meeetings if close to Blackpool or Walsall.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for over 30 years in a wide range of schools and colleges and universities in the U.K and abroad. I have been the Principal of an international school in Japan and of a 450 student private further education college in Birmingham. I have worked with ASD students on a 1 to 1 basis for many years and have also worked with dyslexia.

Tutoring Approach

I believe every student has the potential to learn and believe there are no barriers to learning which cannot be overcome. I believe in traditional grammar school / Academy type teaching but with freedom of expression for students. I usually teach online through Teams however may be able to do some face to face tutoring if close to Walsall or Blackpool.
