** final year dental student, who studied Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at A-levels, 4 years ago, and obtained A*A*AA **

I am a friendly and easily approachable person with an academic background in sciences. I have always enjoyed studying maths and excelled at it from an early age; I sat my maths gcse's two years early and still obtained an A*. I love spreading my passion for learning and helping people reach their potential. I have great communication skills, as well as understanding each person's own individual learning experience - and tailoring my teaching towards it.

Tutoring Experience

I have previously tutored several students in maths and they have all excelled in their learning, done better at school and also increased their own self-confidence; allowing them to aim higher. As a dental student with my own patients (of all ages), I have great experience with working with people. As I only sat my A-levels not too long ago, students often find they can relate to me quite well and it also allows me to understand the students' and their preferred method of teaching better. I have a shear passion for teaching maths - as it is a subject that I love. At university, I also become a PASS mentor, and did the courses required to reach this qualification - allowing me to also mentor university students.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring style, approach and methods are all tailored to the student's individual need. I like to work with the student to try and understand how they solve problems and then build on their methods. Initially, I like to assess a student's ability in order to gauge where they're at and in order to set realistic targets. I believe tutoring to not only increase a student's knowledge, but also for it to increase their own self-confidence; allowing them to achieve more. I , myself have been tutored and do tutoring and so both of these experiences have enabled me to culminate my skills in order to work best with students to help them excel as much as possible.
