Rikin

Hello there! My name is Rikin and I am a 35 year old teacher based in Watford. I have 10 years of teaching experience in international schools as well as giving private lessons, and have played guitar for 19 years, I am very enthusiastic about teaching and am used to teaching in both 1-on-1 and group environments.

I have been a private tutor for 5 years teaching a variety of subjects. During the pandemic classes shifted to all online and this was not an issue whatsoever, the online classroom works extremely well and many students have said they prefer classes online as it is far more comfortable for them and the online classroom and interactive whiteboard feature work so well. I am also able to give classes at your houses if that face-to-face format is preferred!

• 5 years working as a private tutor, helping children pass their 11+ exams, as well as working with children who just need a confidence boost for their school work

Tutoring Approach

It is very important that the child feels comfortable in our lessons and knows exactly what the aim of these lessons is, we can assess their current level to start with and then work towards getting them ready for school/admissions exams. I have plenty of materials to work with, though will make suggestions for certain books that they can practise on during their free time.
