I'm currently a third-year dental student at King's College London, where I’ve developed a strong passion for both science and healthcare. For my A levels I studied biology, chemistry and mathematics, as well as completing an EPQ, which helped strengthen my research and critical thinking skills. In addition to my academic work, I tutor part-time – something I find incredibly rewarding. I love being able to help others build confidence in their learning and achieve their goals, and it's a great way to share my enthusiasm for the subjects I enjoy.
I first started tutoring at a learning centre called Study Box, where I worked with students ranging from ages 4 to 17. This experience gave me the opportunity to support a wide range of learners, from helping younger children build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy to guiding older students through their GCSE and A-level preparation. It taught me how to adapt my teaching style to suit different ages and abilities, and really deepened my understanding of how students learn best. Then I moved to private tutoring, which allows me to offer more tailored, one-to-one support and build strong connections with each student.
My approach to teaching is all about creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that building confidence is just as important as understanding the material, so I always aim to be patient, approachable, and positive in my sessions. I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs and learning style, breaking down complex concepts into simpler steps and using real-life examples wherever possible. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them enjoy the learning process and develop skills they can carry forward with them.
