Hi, I’m Rob, an experienced and fully qualified Science teacher with a passion for helping students succeed. I specialise in A-Level and GCSE Chemistry, but can also tutor Biology and Physics at GCSE. I’ve got a PGCE in Secondary Science Education from the University of Sussex, a First-Class Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester, and a Master’s in Education from the University of Chichester.

I’ve always been fascinated by science and absolutely love sharing that excitement with others. For the past 16 years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching and seeing my students thrive in the subject. Recently, I’ve shifted my focus to one-to-one and small group tutoring, as I find this lets me really connect with students, build trust, and find what motivates them to do their best.

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me writing songs or playing guitar. I love staying active too – I’m a big fan of mountain biking, bouldering, and surf skating!

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced A-Level and GCSE Chemistry teacher with over 16 years of success in helping students excel in their studies. I have guided hundreds of students to achieve top results, with many progressing to top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. While I specialise in Chemistry at both GCSE and A-Level, I also have extensive experience teaching Physics and Biology at GCSE, as well as all sciences at KS3. I have a proven track record of adapting my teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs. My approach combines a strong focus on exam success with fostering a genuine passion for science.

Building a good relationship is key, and I always aim to create a positive, motivating environment where students can really thrive.
