Rojin

Hi, I’m Rojin and I have just completed my second year studying medicine at UCL! I am passionate about science and maths and also have a deep appreciation for literature and languages being a fluent speaker of Farsi, an intermediate level speaker of Mandarin, and a GCSE-level speaker of German.

Tutoring Experience

I began tutoring in early 2020 and have worked with many students and companies ranging from primary school to secondary school age leading to my students achieving top-marks in their chosen subjects. I have extensive experience tutoring maths and have also been involved with writing mark schemes for 11+, 13+, and common entrance papers and am currently working as a maths lead in an examination preparation company. Alongside this, I have conducted medical school interviews, UCAT preparation, and personal statement writing sessions and am happy to help in any part of the medical school application.

Tutoring Approach

Whilst working with a student, I aim to foster a love for learning whilst helping the student achieve their personal goals. In this way, I take a student-centered approach catering my lessons to the student’s specific learning style. In my lessons, I also make use of the Socratic method of teaching, which I have found keeps students engaged, facilitates a much deeper understanding of the subject, and promotes critical thinking skills.
