Hello! I am currently a 2nd-year student at King's College London, enrolled on a BSc course in Global Health and Social Medicine.
In A-Levels, I studied Biology, Maths and Chemistry achieving AAB respectively. I also achieved a grade 8 in Maths GCSE and a grade B in Further Maths GCSE.
I studied and sat Maths GCSE exams after the transition to the new grading system (1-9) so I believe I have a great understanding of the curriculum and exam boards which would allow me to support your revision more efficiently!
I am caring, passionate and enthusiastic in both teaching and in Maths, so I am confident I will do my best to teach and improve your GCSE Maths revision and achieve the best possible grades.
Throughout my 2 years of Sixth Form, I hugely enjoyed taking on the role of a personal Maths mentor for students in younger years and I have proven to show significant improvement in their Maths. I also have further personal tutoring experience in 11+ Maths and English for about 1 year, which helped the student go into the secondary school they wished to go to.
Although I am still a student, I will work my best to be as flexible with the tutoring times as I can. I believe with Maths, once you have understood the basics, it's all about practice and solving questions. So this is what I will focus mostly on in my lessons.
I can be completely flexible with the topics of GCSE Maths we work on, tackling the topics you find most difficult as a priority. Maths is a very enjoyable subject once you start solving big questions and you know you are right with the answer, but also when you make a mistake and you can figure out for yourself where you went wrong. I am passionate that this is what we can achieve and make Maths more enjoyable as well as watching the grades go up!
