Rosie

I am an English teacher with four years of teaching experience. I am currently based in York, however before this, I worked in Public Relations in London and Leeds. My roots are very much in writing and communications, which makes me a particularly strong teacher.

I have an English degree from the University of London and completed my PGCE at York St John University. I am passionate about Literature and strive to pass this enjoyment to each of my students.

Tutoring Experience

Currently based in York, I am an English teacher at a secondary school rated Good by Ofsted in 2023. I proactively support my department when making decisions regarding the curriculum, offering me excellent insight into content and resources taught to students.

Tutoring Approach

I am passionate about achieving the best academic results for young people. Whilst I aim to pass my love for English to even my most reluctant of students, I always ensure that the basic skills and knowledge are understood clearly. My teaching style is adaptable to those who are struggling with the subject and are looking to achieve a pass; those who are aiming for the higher grades; and those who are needing to brush up on their skills and knowledge.
