Chemist with 17 years industrial experience, including several years as lead chemist in small startup companies. I am truly passionate about the chemical sciences and this passion comes through to my tutees and I have an excellent track record in helping students achieve their desired grades.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring since 2010. I tutor from national 3/4 to Higher and can also help if you are returning to education after a break in your studies. I also have experience teaching to University level, with an emphasis on analytical techniques such as chromatographic and classical analytical techniques

Tutoring Approach

I find areas which students are weak in and build a strong foundation from there. I also present different ways of thinking around problems (particularly mathematical problems). I have a particular specialism in organic chemistry and have an ability to teach this area particularly well, which tends to bring my tutees' grade up in the final exam
